Learn about influential Evanstonians Anna Rew Gross, Donn Werling, and Margery Taylor Carlson with presentations at the library followed by a tour of the Lighthouse Beach gardens.
Keynote speaker, Dr. Donn Werling, the first and only person with the official title of City of Evanston Naturalist, will give a keynote during the program, which starts at 10 a.m. in the Main Library. Following a lunch break, participants will travel by bus to Lighthouse Park for more Q&A and a tour of the landscape rehabilitation work underway, native plant demonstration garden, Alfred Caldwell Stonework, and waterfall. Light refreshments will be provided. Saturday, June 25, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.. Main Library with Zoom option.
