Thank you for your interest in supporting Artists Book House! We are steadfast (and dare we say, excited) in our efforts to put Chicago back on the map as an important hub for book arts.

Many parts of the book are named for parts of the body: the head, the tail, the spine. It’s this last part, the spine, which supports the entire structure. It attaches one cover to the other and binds the book’s pages together.

Artists Book House’s supporters are our spine, holding us together as we gather friends—and money—to help us do many amazing things, such as:

• Purchase and renovate a new facility in Chicago

• Build and equip our future letterpress, papermaking, and bookbinding studios

• Launch our university-level writing and book arts courses

• Host workshops, exhibitions, book launches, and salons

• Bring in world-class artists and writers to guest teach and lecture

• Fund our permanent collection of artists books

• Create our retail store

• Hire more staff

• Establish a generous scholarship fund
