Ken Gerleve

Ken Gerleve is a visual artist and designer, and co-founding board member of Artists Book House. He earned his MFA in Interdisciplinary Book and Paper Arts from Columbia College, Chicago in 2009 and his BFA in Studio Arts from the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Ken created A House, Haunted, Artists Book House’s annual Halloween event, which brings artists and writers together to create collaborative projects each October. He has experience in book design, typography, illustration, printmaking, papermaking, bookbinding, animation, sculpture, and puppetmaking. Ken has taught workshops on bookbinding, tunnel books and toy theaters, and was a creative committee member and participating artist for the Ragdale Foundation’s annual family-friendly Halloween event, Rags to Witches.

Ken is currently writing and illustrating a serialized gothic mystery graphic novel called Summerland.
