Juliet Bond

Juliet C. Bond, LCSW is a therapist, Director of Development, and children’s book writer from Evanston, IL. Juliet C. Bond, LCSW, is deeply engaged in making connections between story and clinical intervention. In particular, her passion lies in creating opportunities for growth between and among individuals. 

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Juliet spent fifteen years providing supervision and clinical intervention in various areas of social service including; teen prostitution, foster care, and adoption.

As an instructor, she has taught courses on social justice, race and ethnicity, gender studies, and the craft of writing.

In addition to many years of creative curriculum development and facilitation, she has worked at length with subordinated groups. As the founder of her own nonprofit and in her work with arts nonprofits, she also gained extensive experience in development.

As a writer, her recent publications include a chapter book series and a re-release of her first picture book. In 2012, she published a play about bullying, which is now being used in schools as a teaching tool. Her picture book about open adoption serves as a guide for birth parent counselors all over the country. In 2018, her second play was staged at Piven Theatre Workshop.

Juliet has also participated in extensive volunteer work with nonprofits, including an effort to create programming for a fall 2014 exhibit on race at the Skokie Holocaust Museum and her current work at the Artists Book House.

As the founding director of the non-profit Caring Outreach by Parents in Evanston (COPE) she was the sole director of programming and coordinator of recruitment, budget, volunteers, and resource distribution for 14 COPE schools. 

In 2019 Juliet was the recipient of both a Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Illinois and a Points of Light Award. In 2017, she graduated from the prestigious Leadership Evanston Program. In 2014, Juliet was the proud recipient of a city-wide Volunteer Recognition Award from Northwestern University, the Evanston Community Foundation, and Evanston Township High School.
