Easy Papermaking at Home with Jamie Thome
In this third video of our new Open House Virtual Book Arts Workshops, ABH Board Member Jamie Thome shows how to make handmade paper circles, using items you currently have around your house! You can use these paper circles in various ways, including the Treewhispers project that Jamie also talks you through in this tutorial.
Tools and Supplies List:
1. Clean glass jar with a lid that fits tightly and doesn't leak
2. TWO clean soup (or other canned good) cans of two different sizes. The bigger one, you will just cut the top off (to enjoy the soup inside!); the smaller one, you will cut the bottom off as well (after you enjoy the soup inside!)
3. a screen, like from a window screen
4. old dish towels or old pillowcases
5. clean water in a pitcher
6. a roll of unscented, undyed toilet paper
7. a new sponge (one that doesn't have soap in it)
