CALLING ALL STORY TELLERS!

Did you fall in love under a tree? Was your treehouse the place where dreams came to life? Did you have a mystical experience in a forest? Funny, inspiring, quirky, or romantic, what’s your “tree story?” We what to hear it!

In honor of Treewhispers 25th Anniversary of sharing stories from around the world about trees, we are hosting a live story telling experience. It will be held on January 29th (the Lunar New Year…bonus if your story includes trees and the moon) from 6 - 8pm. Doors will open at 6pm and stories to run from 6:30pm - 7:30pm. Gallery closes at 8pm.

We’re inviting all armchair story tellers, those who can deliver a good yarn or those seasoned in front of an audience; all are welcome. To enter your tree story for a chance to perform amongst the Treewhispers installation, follow the below guidelines:

Submissions:

•   include your first and last name, along with a phone number and email address for contact

•   your story should be no more than 6 minutes (really!)

•   stories need to be “tree” themed

•   they should ideally be performed without being read

•   personal, real-life stories are what we are looking for

•   provide us with a short description - a few sentences or paragraph for your submission

•   a panel will review entries and a selection of 5 - 6 stories will be chosen

•   deadline for submissions: Wednesday 1/22 by 12 pm.

•   selected storytellers will be notified by the evening of Saturday 1/25
