Designer, Printmaker and Book Artist Beth Adler with Jamie Thome
On September 17th, we (virtually) visited the Evanston studio of artist Beth Adler!
During this Quarantour, Ms. Adler, Evanston-based designer/ printmaker/ book artist, presented the work she has done during the last six months during the time of the pandemic.
Beginning with a pieced together “Quarantine Journal” done at the dining room table, to the "COVID Diary," a 12 foot long accordion book of collages, done once she returned to the studio, to the series of "COVID House Crow" monoprints, and now the series of “COVID Houses," Beth has used this distressing time to explore the pain, anxiety, and concern we are all experiencing.
